"This picture
depicts people from Kitui digging
for water in a dried
up riverbed. If they dig deep
enough, water may seep to the surface. Through
our "water-challenge" efforts, water projects
will be developed to ensure that our brothers
and sisters won't have to dig for their water,
which is a basic human need."
We
look forward to
changing lives together! |

"Our kids loved the H2O project
and can't wait until Advent to do it again!!"
"Our students now have an awareness about water issues in
our world, especially in Kenya, and their hearts were filled
with compassion as they learned about the drought in the
Diocese of Kitui, Kenya, and understood "solidarity" as
they were moved to take part in the "Water Challenge." Annette
Hritz, Second Grade Teacher, Guardian Angels Schools, Chaska,
MN
"Yes, the project did benefit our school spiritually. Just the awareness and the need for people in this world - realizing these people are our brothers and sisters in Christ, and we as Christians need to do something. Very visual/ hands on project! Thanks!
Bev Lucarelli, Shakopee Area Catholic Schools
"This project awoke us to the needs of others, our own self-centeredness and how much God has/does bless us. Good experience. Worthy project" Christian Campus House,Maryville, MO
"Very spiritual addition to our Advent prayer Services. Our students seemed to really enjoy helping others and we would consider participating again!" St. Jerome School, Maplewood, MN
"Thanks so much for the materials you sent. We did the H2O Project with the 9th & 10th graders and we plan to do it again next year! Jackie Scheldorf, St. Bridget's in Mpls., MN
"It was our pleasure to participate in this project! May God continue to bless you for your part in making these opportunities available for folks like us." Exodus 9:16 - Vic Coston, Christian Campus House
"This water challenge is really life-giving - at a time, this Advent season in particular, when everything we hear seems to be about buy, buy, buy, gifts, gifts, gifts - this (challenge) is talking about giving up and being open to the Spirit - it really does fit in liturgically and our whole staff is excited about it"! Keely Wojda, St. Mark's Faith Formation Coor.

"The proceeds generated by this program will
support life saving water projects such as the construction
of wells, dams, and holding tanks in the Kitui region of
Kenya, Africa. These pursuits will contribute to improving
the lives of many people who otherwise may never have access
to sufficient, clean and safe water. Adequate access to
water can be a powerful tool to improve physical health,
transform lives and promote long-term peace and stability."
