Giving
Up Drinks To Help Others Get Water

Think about how many different things you drink,
other than water. Then ask yourself, could you give them up?
That's what one local church is doing to help bring clean
water to people on the other side of the globe.
It's called the H2O Project, a Houston area non-profit
organization dedicated to bringing clean water to underdeveloped
countries. It asks for no money, but encourages primarily
churches to give up drinking all other beverages except water
for two weeks. The savings go to a select number of mainly
faith-based groups already drilling water wells, mainly in
Africa and South America. Our Lady of Guadalupe in Helotes
is the only area church involved in the project.
